With the election of Councilman Andre Rainey to the position of mayor, the Peekskill Common Council is seeking to appoint a resident to fill the seat vacated by Rainey as a result of his ascent to the Mayor’s Office, pursuant to the City Charter and New York State law.
Peekskill residents who are registered voters and have resided in the city for a minimum of three years and are interested in pursuing the appointment should mail or email a brief letter of intent and resume to the Mayor’s Office by Friday, Jan.26. These materials will be shared with members of the Common Council. All inquiries will be held in confidence at this time.
