County Legislator John Testa, a Republican representing District 1, handily defeated Democratic challenger Nancy Vann Tuesday night. In victory, Testa is one of the few local Republicans to come out on top. Testa and Vann are both Peekskill residents.

A small portion of Peekskill is in District 9, and, in that race, County Legislator Catherine Borgia, a Democrat from Ossining, handily defeated Republican challenger Robert Outhouse, a Republican from Cortlandt.
