Through conversation, reflection, connection and live music, Spirit Talk aims to offer a friendly space for young adults and like-minded individuals to explore the flow of faith, beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at the Multi-Sensory Worship Room, 705 South Street in Peekskill.
The new group, hosted by Reverend Stephany Graham, will feature guest speakers, quiet meditation, yoga and vibrant music by local musicians to create a safe space for individuals to explore faith. Participants can fuel their spirits and souls before heading out on the town every fourth Saturday evening.
“Faith, while personal, is more broadly developed in community,” said Graham. “Spirit Talk is a community for young adults to come together to share their beliefs and ideas and explore new perspectives.”
The newly renovated Multi-Sensory Worship Room is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, lighting and beautiful water art, making it the perfect place to relax and decompress from the outside world and also embrace the joy and vibrancy of life.
The topic for the July 22 group—led by Pastor Stephany and a guest—will be “It’s Complicated.” The evening will begin with a 30-minute yoga class led by Rev. Leslie Mott, live music by a newly formed praise team and a time of interactive discussion.
“Whether someone is looking to deepen their faith or just begin to explore it, all are welcome,” Graham said.
